One of the biggest misconceptions about AFJROTC is that we are here to recruit students into the military service. WE ARE NOT. We do not recruit for any branch of service, we are not paid or gain any favor for any student who joins the military or earns a scholarship in the military. We are teachers of a high school elective credit course called Aerospace Science.

The Mission, Goals, and Objectives of the AFJROTC program:
The mission of the AFJROTC program is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.
The goals of the program are to instill values of citizenship, give service to the United States, develop a personal responsibility, and instill a sense of accomplishment in high school students.
The objectives of AFJROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.

- Join our Championship Drill Team
- Play Volleyball and Compete Against Other JROTC Units
- Be a Member of Color Guard Teams and Post our Nation's Colors at Different School, Community, Sporting and Veteran's Activities
- Mentor Other Students and Cadets and Serve as a Positive Role Model
- JROTC Cadets Provide Academic Tutoring to Other Students and Cadets
- Become a Member of the Kittyhawk Air Society, AFJROTC National Honor Society
- Be Part of the Awareness Presentation Team. Go to Local Elementary Schools and Teach 5th Graders About the Hazards of Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drugs
- Be a Cyber Patriot, Learn How to Stop Would-be Hackers (Virtual) and Possibly Earn a Chance to Work with Some Major Companies Throughout the Nation
- Join our National Academic Quiz Bowl Team. Questions Come from SAT/ACT Question Banks
- Attend Summer Activities such as Summer Leadership Camp at Outdoor Odyssey, PA Police Camp, American Legion Sponsored Boys and Girls State
